Victorian Falconer Statue
A finely cast Renaissance Revival figure of a falconer. The young courtier stands confidently, raising his arm to release a falcon while holding a game bird at his side. Richly detailed in period costume, the sculpture captures both movement and poise, resting on a round metal base. A striking example of 19th-century decorative statuary, this piece evokes the romanticism and craftsmanship of the era.
Origin: Victorian; likely by ASONIA Clock Company, late 19th century c. 1880.
Material: Spelter (cast white metal) with patination, mounted on a metal base.
Dimensions: 19" x 6.25"
Condition: Wear and rubbing to surface consistent with age; compression and losses to edge of base (see photos). Stable and displays beautifully overall.
