Primitive Wooden Textile Printing Blocks
A beautifully worn pair of 19th-century wood textile stamps, each hand-carved with repeating decorative motifs. These blocks would have been used in traditional fabric printing — pressed into dye and stamped onto textiles by hand.
Now, they make compelling decorative objects, each bearing the marks of time and use. Style them on a shelf, stack with books, or mount in a shadowbox for instant texture and history.
Origin: Likely India, 19th century
Condition: Wear consistent with use; one block has a split and minor losses, all stable. Rich patina throughout.
