The painting captures the idealized profile and refined elegance associated with Renaissance portraiture. The piece is presented in a decorative gilt frame with red velvet matting, typical of Florentine artisan work.
The reverse inscription attributes the miniature to Altea Luigi (Altea Lirzi), Florence.
