Glazed Relief Ceramic Tile

Sale price$48.00

A glazed ceramic tile by Hamilton Tile Works of Hamilton, Ohio, featuring a raised bas-relief design of scrolling foliate forms in a warm palette of brown, cream, and soft neutral tones. The fluid, organic motif reflects Art Nouveau influence within the broader Victorian period, a style commonly used in architectural tiles at the turn of the 20th century.

Produced circa the 1890s, tiles of this kind were typically used in fireplace surrounds and decorative installations, valued for their dimensional surface and tonal glazing. The pronounced relief and natural variation in the glaze give the piece depth and visual movement, making it equally compelling as a standalone object or incorporated into a design setting.

4 tiles available.
