"Friburg" Ironstone Platter by G. Phillips, Longport
This rare 19th-century ironstone platter by G. Phillips of Longport features the desirable Friburg pattern — a romantic architectural landscape framed by a scrolling floral border. The crisp blue transfer and octagonal form make it a beautiful statement piece for display, layering, or serving. A classic for English cottage, traditional, or collected interiors.
Origin: England, c. 1840–1860.
Material: Ironstone.
Dimensions: 16" x 13".
Condition: Expected wear for age; light surface marks, minor discoloration, and glaze wear consistent with 160+ years. No significant chips or cracks.
