Fluted Carved Stone Mortar & Pestle
A beautifully weathered stone mortar with a deeply carved fluted exterior and softly worn interior, paired with a turned wood pestle. The tactile, almost hand-hewn surface gives this piece a sculptural and textural presence. Pieces like this were a staple in traditional European kitchens, used daily for grinding spices, herbs, and grains long before electric tools replaced them.
The contrast of rough stone and smooth wood adds warmth and dimension, whether styled on open shelving, beside cookbooks, or layered into a countertop arrangement.

Shipping cost is dependent on the travel distance, weight/dimensions once packaged, as well as handling time and packing supplies.
Shipping time is estimated at 2 weeks from the date of payment. Tracking numbers are provided via email once parcels are scanned in with the carrier. Items will be shipped using USPS or UPS.
Shipping note: All paintings and large artwork are shipped separate from other items and will not calculate in combined shipping cost.
