Rococo Revival Gilt Tabletop Mirror

Sale price$125.00

An elegant mid-20th-century gilt cast metal mirror featuring an ornate Rococo Revival silhouette with scrolling foliage, pierced cresting, and softly aged gold finish. The richly detailed frame reflects the enduring appeal of European decorative traditions reinterpreted for the postwar interior, balancing ornament with refined proportion.

Stamped “IRON ART” with model number JM-68 on the reverse, this mirror was produced for the export market and is representative of the high-quality decorative metalwork widely made across Continental Europe during the mid-20th century. While mirrors of this style were commonly produced in Italy during this period, no explicit country-of-origin mark is present; as such, it is best attributed to Continental Europe, circa the 1950s–1960s.

Perfectly scaled for use above a console, chest, or vanity, this mirror brings warmth, texture, and a collected sensibility to both traditional and eclectic interiors.

Origin: Continental Europe, mid-20th century (likely Italian export).
Material: Gilt cast metal (spelter) with mirror glass.
Dimensions: Approx. 14.5" x 10".
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear and patina consistent with age; no cracks to the mirror glass noted. Back shows period wear and pencil notations from a previous owner.
