“Caledonia” Scottish Hunt Scene Transferware Plate by William Adams & Sons
A beautiful 19th-century red transferware plate from William Adams & Sons, featuring the iconic Caledonia pattern—a romantic Scottish hunt scene framed by an ornate border. This earlier Caledonia backstamp (paired with the impressed DAVY mark) dates the piece to around 1840–1860, making it an excellent example of mid-19th-century Staffordshire craftsmanship.
Rich in detail and color, this plate is perfect for collectors, plate walls, and English-inspired holiday tablescapes.
