c. 1907 “The Forum, Rome” Photogravure
A beautifully detailed early 20th-century photogravure of The Forum, Rome, published by A.W. Elson & Co., Boston. This sepia-toned print captures a sweeping view of the Roman Forum, with the Temple of Saturn and Arch of Septimius Severus in the distance. The warm tonality and fine detail exemplify the rich texture and depth characteristic of Elson’s photogravure process. Presented under glass in a vintage wooden frame with wide matting, it brings the grandeur of classical architecture into any space.
