c. 1900 Wedgwood & Co. “Raleigh” Transferware Butter Pats

Sale price$95.00

A set of finely detailed transferware butter pats by Wedgwood & Co. in the “Raleigh” pattern, featuring an ornate arrangement of florals, scrollwork, and vignette scenes framed by a richly decorated border. Rendered in a deep green tone, the design carries a sense of structure and intricacy that feels both decorative and refined at a small scale.

The pattern reflects turn-of-the-century English tablewares, where even the smallest serving pieces were thoughtfully designed to complement larger service sets. Butter pats like these were once used for individual servings at the table and today lend themselves beautifully to layered place settings, catchalls, or styled accents within a collection.

Origin: England, Wedgwood & Co., circa 1900–1908 (lion mark).
