



c. 1899 Victorian Folk Art Needlepoint Sampler
A charming late 19th-century woolwork sampler, signed R. Kent and dated 1899. Worked in a striking geometric diamond pattern of repeating floral-like motifs, the piece showcases the popular Berlin woolwork style of the Victorian era.
Presented in its original ebonized wood frame with age patina, the back retains a gold exhibition label from The Chesson Art Galleries, Cincinnati. This sampler offers a wonderful glimpse into the decorative needlework traditions of the Victorian period and makes a beautiful addition to a textile or folk art collection.
