Crystal Glass Drip Oil Candlestick
This vintage crystal glass drip oil candlestick was designed by Sara and Michael Beams in the Catskill Mountain region circa 1990. Handmade in the studio glass tradition, the piece is intentionally crafted to resemble a melting candle, with applied glass “wax drips,” a twisted internal stem, and a graceful loop handle modeled after traditional chamberstick candle holders.
Unlike a standard candlestick, this piece is designed as an oil lamp, fitted with a wick and intended to burn oil while maintaining the visual poetry of a dripping taper. The form blends historical inspiration with late 20th-century American studio glass design, resulting in an object that is both sculptural and functional.
Origin: United States, possibly Catskill Mountain region, circa 1990.

Condition: Very good vintage condition; no chips or cracks observed.

Shipping cost is dependent on the travel distance, weight/dimensions once packaged, as well as handling time and packing supplies.
Shipping time is estimated at 2 weeks from the date of payment. Tracking numbers are provided via email once parcels are scanned in with the carrier. Items will be shipped using USPS or UPS.
