19th c. Canine Engraving — Sporting & Hound Breeds, B.
A richly detailed 19th century canine engraving depicting multiple sporting and hound breeds in active landscape scenes. The finely engraved line work and period hand coloring capture the movement, form, and temperament of each dog with exceptional precision. Breed classifications appear in period typography, reflecting the era’s fascination with natural history and animal taxonomy.
Presented in a contemporary gilt bamboo-style frame with archival matting, the engraving bridges historic craftsmanship with elevated modern presentation.
