Wicker Fishing Creel Basket

A charming vintage wicker fishing creel featuring beautifully woven natural wicker, a shaped hinged lid, and a leather buckle closure. Originally designed for carrying a fisherman's catch, this traditional country accessory brings wonderful texture and character to an English cottage-inspired interior.

The basket features a gently tapered silhouette, with closely woven wicker forming a substantial yet lightweight structure. Its shaped lid follows the contours of the basket and includes an opening traditionally used for depositing fish without opening the entire creel. A dark brown leather strap and buckle secure the front, complemented by a decorative leather fastening tab.
