A vintage Wedgwood pottery biscuit barrel featuring the beloved "D'Ye Ken John Peel" hunting scene, inspired by the traditional English folk song celebrating the famed Cumbrian huntsman. Hand-painted style illustrations wrap the body, depicting mounted riders, hounds, and pastoral landscapes, while the lid is crowned with a sculptural fox finial.
Once the candle has burned, it can be enjoyed for years to come as a biscuit barrel, storage jar, or decorative accent.
Origin: England, circa 1930s.
Maker: Wedgwood.
Material: Glazed earthenware.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with light, age-appropriate wear consistent with use. No chips or cracks noted.
