An elegant English transferware sauce tureen and matching underplate in the “Victoria” pattern, produced by Whittingham, Ford & Riley of Burslem. The finely detailed black transfer decoration features classical ribbon, floral, and ornamental motifs arranged in a balanced, symmetrical composition.
The tureen’s softly rounded form is paired with scroll handles and a domed lid with a loop finial, while the underplate mirrors the same refined borderwork. The crisp monochrome palette gives the piece a timeless, graphic presence—ideal for layering into both traditional tablescapes and collected displays.
