An elegant English silverplate wine cooler dating to the Victorian period. Raised on a classic pedestal foot, the vessel features finely engraved engine-turning, graceful scroll handles, and a shield-shaped cartouche engraved with the original owner's "JS" monogram. Originally designed to chill and present a single bottle of wine or champagne at the table, its timeless urn form reflects the refined craftsmanship of late 19th-century English silverplate.
Once the candle has burned, it is equally beautiful styled as a wine cooler, vase for fresh branches, decorative cachepot, or sculptural accent on a dining table, kitchen island, or bar cart.
Origin: England, late 19th century.
Material: Silverplate.
Condition: Good antique condition with light age-related wear and patina consistent with age and use. Sits uneven, slightly tilted.
