Two-Light Shaded Candelabrum

An unusual antique brass two-light candelabrum with a tall central standard, scrolling candle arms, and a pair of individually shaped metal shades. The shade assembly slides along the upright standard and secures with an adjustable screw, allowing the height of the shades to be positioned relative to the candles.

The lower section is especially decorative, with cast scrolling supports, small finial details, foliate ornament along the arms, and a broad embossed base. Each candle cup retains its own drip tray, while the aged brass surface shows warm variation and areas of deeper patina throughout.

The combination of candlelight, adjustable metal shades, and highly worked brass makes this feel very much like a late Victorian library or reading-table object, decorative even when not in use.
