A handsome antique turned wooden mortar and pestle, crafted from a dense tropical hardwood with a deep, richly varied brown grain. Particularly beautiful is the natural variation in the wood grain across the front of the bowl, creating a distinctive, almost birthmark-like marking that makes this piece wonderfully unique.
The sculptural form and striking natural grain make this a particularly decorative example, equally at home as a functional kitchen object or simply displayed among collected pieces.
