Claw Ice Tongs

Silver-plated serving tongs with slender, gently curved arms ending in expressive bird-claw grips. Each terminal divides into splayed, tapering talons, bringing a sculptural flourish to an otherwise understated utensil. The smooth stems keep the silhouette light, allowing the unusual gripping ends to provide the decorative interest.

A distinctive accessory for a collected drinks tray or tea service, suited to lifting ice or sugar cubes according to their size. Their claw-form ends add a playful detail beside a simple glass bowl or silver bucket, while the restrained handles mix easily with other antique and vintage serving pieces. Sold as one pair of tongs.
