An American silver-plated footed bowl by The Sheffield Silver Co., featuring a beautifully polished finish, delicate beaded rim, and three sculptural feet. Drawing inspiration from traditional English silverware, this handsome vintage serving piece has been selected for a second life as a one-of-a-kind candle vessel.
The shallow, rounded bowl rests upon three decorative feet with gracefully curved supports and ornamental detailing. A finely beaded border traces the gently flared rim, lending a classical finishing touch to its otherwise restrained silhouette. The polished silver-plated surface beautifully reflects the surrounding light, emphasizing the bowl's simple proportions and sculptural form.
The underside is stamped THE SHEFFIELD SILVER CO. / MADE IN USA / EPC / 1118, identifying its American manufacturer and electroplated copper construction. Founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 1908, The Sheffield Silver Co. specialized in silver-plated hollowware inspired by the long-established traditions of English silvermaking. The company became known for producing decorative tableware that brought classical silver designs into American homes during the 20th century.
Originally intended as a serving or decorative bowl, this vintage piece has been selected for conversion into a candle vessel. Its polished silver finish and timeless proportions make it a versatile addition to an antique-filled interior, particularly beautiful among collected silver, evergreen arrangements, and traditional holiday decorations.
