A coordinated set of six knives and six forks by 1847 Rogers Bros. in the "Sharon" pattern, introduced in 1910. Delicate flowers and trailing foliage frame smooth oval panels at the handle ends, with fine borders extending along the slender stems. The forks feature additional floral ornament beneath their four tines, while the knives pair rounded blades with fuller, shaped handles carrying the same decorative design.
Sharon’s combination of floral detail and open, polished surfaces gives the set a graceful presence without overwhelming the table. Lovely alongside antique transferware, floral porcelain or simple white plates, these twelve pieces provide matching knives and forks for six settings. They make a useful foundation for a collected table, leaving room to introduce different spoons, serving pieces and glassware. The photographed maker’s mark reads “1847 Rogers Bros.”
