A pair of vintage silver-plated mint julep cups, each engraved with an elegant oversized “S” monogram and finished with delicate beaded borders.
The classic julep form is beautifully simple: a gently tapered body rises from a flared foot, with a narrow beaded border tracing both the upper rim and base. At the center of each cup, the engraved “S” is rendered in fine parallel lines, giving the monogram a particularly graceful, almost calligraphic quality.
They work beautifully alone on a bedside table, bar or bookshelf, but the repetition makes a group particularly striking. After the candle has finished, the vessel can be reused as a small vase, catchall or decorative julep cup.
Material: Silver plate over base metal
Condition: Vintage condition with variations in patina, surface wear and oxidation consistent with age and use.
