Mismatched Specialty Forks, Set of 4

A collected set of four petite silver-plated forks, each representing a different American pattern from the early 20th century. Their small scale reflects the era's wonderfully specific approach to tableware, when separate utensils were made for seafood, oysters, salads, and other courses.

Molly Stark — Alvin, 1916

A petite oyster fork in Alvin's Molly Stark pattern, introduced in 1916. Measuring approximately 5 5/8", this is the smallest of the four and was specifically designed for oyster service. Molly Stark was produced in silverplate and included a surprisingly broad assortment of specialized flatware, including oyster forks, salad forks, fruit spoons, bouillon spoons, and other serving pieces.

Louis XVI — Oneida Community Silver, 1911

A cocktail/seafood fork in Oneida Community Silver's Louis XVI pattern, introduced in 1911. At approximately 6", this small fork was specifically made for seafood and cocktail service. The Louis XVI pattern was offered in silverplate with an extensive selection of specialized table pieces, reflecting the elaborate service traditions of the early 20th century.

Grosvenor — Oneida Community Plate, 1921

A cocktail/seafood fork in Oneida Community Plate's Grosvenor pattern, introduced in 1921. Measuring approximately 6 1/8", its petite three-tined form was designed for seafood cocktails, lobster, fruit cocktails, antipasto, and other hors d'oeuvres. Grosvenor was produced as an extensive silverplate service, with a wide range of specialized pieces beyond the standard place setting.

Glenmore — Oneida Silver, 1927

An individual salad fork in Oneida Silver's Glenmore pattern, introduced in 1927 in Madison Plate. At approximately 6 1/8", its smaller proportions distinguish it from a standard table fork and make it ideal for individual salads, fruit, or lighter courses. Glenmore is documented as a discontinued silverplate pattern with a relatively small range of surviving specialized pieces.

Styling: Perfect for entertaining, these petite forks are wonderful incorporated into a charcuterie or appetizer spread for olives, oysters, cornichons, fruit, cheese accompaniments, and other small bites.
