Mercury Glass Bud Vase

A petite antique mercury glass bud vase in a classic urn form, with a softly flared rim and raised pedestal foot. The body is decorated with a delicate botanical leaf motif, with beautifully aged areas of wear to the silvered finish that reveal the warm tone of the glass beneath. A lovely little piece for a single stem or simply styled on its own among a collection of antique objects.

Origin: Mid-late 19th century.
Material: Mercury glass.

Condition: Good antique condition with expected wear and loss to the silvering, including areas of wear to the botanical decoration. Small opening to the underside of the foot, consistent with the construction.
