Swivel Copper Coat Rack

A late 19th- to early 20th-century wall-mounted hat and coat rack with five hinged brackets arranged along a long metal frame. Each bracket has a tall upper peg and two curved lower hooks, providing multiple hanging points for hats, coats, scarves, and other garments.

The brackets pivot against the horizontal rails, allowing them to fold flatter when not in use, a practical feature that makes the piece especially well suited to a hall, entry, mudroom, or dressing area. The dark, naturally aged metal surface shows warm coppery tones beneath in places, with wear that gives the rack the character of original architectural hardware rather than later reproduction.
