A charming 19th-century Grand Tour souvenir calling card tray, composed of seven interconnected circular medallions, each inset with a reverse-lithograph on glass depicting famous European landmarks. The medallions are framed in ornate gold-toned metal with beaded borders and small loop handles at either end.
A wonderful example of the decorative souvenirs collected by travelers during the Grand Tour, and a beautiful piece of both history and objet decor.
Origin: Mid-19th Century; France.
Material: Glass, metal.
Dimensions: 5" Diameter.
Condition: Good antique condition with natural patina consistent with age.
