Gothic Revival Church Pew Ends

A pair of salvaged 19th-century church pew end panels with pointed-arch carving and deeply scrolled upper terminals. The Gothic Revival form is characteristic of Victorian ecclesiastical furniture, where pointed arches, tracery-inspired panels, and carved scrollwork were used to echo medieval church architecture. Comparable period pew ends from the period were commonly made in oak and treated almost as architectural elements in their own right.

These retain especially good evidence of their original life, with worn surfaces, old paint remnants, nail holes, abrasions, and visible age throughout. Removed from the pew itself, they now read as substantial pieces of architectural salvage and could be displayed individually, mounted as wall objects, or incorporated into a custom furniture or design project.
