Paneled Flow Blue Creamer

A charming antique flow blue creamer, featuring a softly diffused cobalt blue transfer design over a warm ivory earthenware ground. The pattern has an atmospheric landscape character, with architectural forms and foliage emerging through the characteristic “flow” of the blue pigment.

The creamer has a particularly lovely Victorian form, with a shaped rim, gracefully curved handle, gently waisted body, and raised footed base. The contrast between the deep cobalt decoration and areas of lighter, almost misty blue gives the piece wonderful depth and variation.

A versatile little piece for a traditional table setting, or simply displayed alongside other antique blue and white ceramics.
