A set of five small silver-plated forks with three slender tines and gracefully shaped handles. Asymmetric sprays of foliage sweep toward open cartouches, framed by curling scrolls at the rounded terminals. Smaller ornamental details accent the junction between handle and fork, carrying the decorative design through each piece. Their petite proportions make a lovely accompaniment to cake, fruit and other desserts served on collected porcelain or English transferware.
Marked “P100” on the reverse, the forks are consistent with Continental silverplate grading conventions. In the traditional German system, “100” indicates a substantial silver coating, based on the silver used to plate a standardized batch of flatware. The designation likely accounts for their original “extra silver” description. Their matching handles bring cohesion to a dessert setting while leaving plenty of room for different plates and glassware. Offered together as a set of five.
