An English silver-plated pedestal bowl with a generously rounded body, flared rim and sculptural lion-mask mounts holding loose ring handles. The smooth sides provide a handsome contrast to the deeply modeled faces and flowing manes, allowing the decorative mounts to take prominence. A short stem rises from a stepped circular foot, elevating the bowl and giving its broad silhouette a balanced, architectural presence.
Its Georgian-inspired design lends itself beautifully to a collected entertaining table, where polished silver, patterned china and glassware can sit comfortably together. Filled with citrus or arranged with seasonal flowers, it makes a striking centerpiece; displayed empty on a sideboard, the reflective surface and lion-mask details remain compelling on their own. Stamped underneath “Made in England” and “Silver Plate.”
