A charming antique English creamware biscuit barrel featuring a silver-plated hinged lid and richly painted decoration depicting water lilies and reeds. The warm olive green ground beautifully complements the gold-toned botanical lotus motif, while the elegant cylindrical form reflects the refined tablewares popular during the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. Originally intended for serving biscuits at tea, it now offers a distinctive vessel for a bespoke candle.

Once the candle has burned, simply clean the vessel and enjoy it as a decorative canister, tea caddy, keepsake container, or refill it with another candle for years of enjoyment.

Origin: England, late 19th to early 20th century.
Material: Creamware with silver-plated mount and hinged lid.
Condition: Very good antique condition with light, age-appropriate wear to the silver plate and ceramic consistent with over a century of use. The transfer decoration remains crisp, and the hinged lid operates as intended. Some creamware discoloration inside.
