A beautiful set of five antique Copeland Spode Delhi pattern salad plates, dating to approximately 1882–1894. Each plate features the intricate black transfer-printed Delhi pattern, with delicate botanical sprays radiating from the center and an elaborate floral border surrounding the rim.
Produced by W.T. Copeland & Sons at the Spode works in Staffordshire, England, the Delhi pattern is a wonderful example of Victorian transferware design. The smaller size makes these especially versatile for luncheon, salad, dessert, or simply displaying as part of a collected table setting.
