A particularly beautiful antique Copeland Spode Delhi pattern plate, dating to approximately 1882–1894, featuring the intricate navy transfer-printed floral and foliate decoration characteristic of the pattern. This example is distinguished by its unusual molded crust-style rim, adding an additional layer of texture and dimension to the otherwise highly detailed surface.

Produced by W.T. Copeland & Sons at the Spode works in Staffordshire, England, the Delhi pattern represents the elaborate botanical transferware produced during the Victorian period. An especially lovely piece for a collector of Copeland Spode or English transferware, and an unusual variation to display alongside other Delhi pieces.

Origin: c. 1882–1894; Staffordshire, England.
Material: Earthenware transferware.
Dimensions: 10" diameter.
Condition: Good antique small signs of age and use. Light crazing. Does feature a small flea bite on embossed edge.
