Carved Mahogany Fruit & Acanthus Pediment

A exceptionally carved mahogany architectural pediment, richly decorated with scrolling acanthus leaves, pears, peach, and a cascading cluster of grapes. The deeply carved ornament is wonderfully dimensional, with a warm, timeworn finish and a central oval cartouche accented by carved diagonal detailing.

Beautiful displayed above a doorway, entrance, mantel, or opening, where the carved details can be appreciated at eye level. It would be especially striking layered into a room with antique mirrors, oil paintings, dark wood, and other carved architectural elements.
