c. 1910 Barkers & Kent “Florence” Flow Blue Plate
A beautiful English flow blue plate in the “Florence” pattern by Barkers & Kent, produced in the early 20th century. The design features a romantic architectural landscape with classical buildings, bridges, and figures overlooking water, rendered in rich cobalt flow blue with a softly blurred painterly effect characteristic of the style. The scalloped edge is finished with decorative gilt accents, adding warmth and contrast to the deep blue scene. Both decorative and collectible, it displays beautifully on a wall, plate rack, or layered into a tabletop vignette.
Origin: England, circa 1910. Barkers & Kent.
Material: Ceramic with flow blue transfer decoration and gilt accents.
Dimensions: Approximately 9" diameter.
Condition: Wear consistent with age including light wear to the gilt rim; overall very good antique condition.
