Hardstone-Inlaid Brass Centerpiece Bowl

An exquisite antique Chinese brass bowl featuring applied relief decoration of blossoming branches, perched birds, and natural hardstone cabochon inlays. Marked "China" on the underside, the piece was produced for the export market during the early 20th century after the 1891 U.S. McKinley Tariff Act required imported goods to be marked with their country of origin. Rich in texture and symbolism, the bird-and-blossom motif reflects the enduring influence of traditional Chinese decorative arts, while the warm brass patina and sculptural detailing make this an exceptional vessel for a bespoke candle.

Once the candle has burned, simply clean the vessel and enjoy it as a centerpiece, cachepot, decorative bowl, or refill it with another candle for years of enjoyment.
