A charming vintage brass name plaque bearing the word CAPTAIN in bold, raised lettering. Its elongated oval form is framed by a decorative twisted-rope border, lending the piece a distinctly nautical character.
The plaque features a textured recessed background that contrasts beautifully with the polished relief lettering. A mounting hole at either end allows it to be affixed to a door, cabinet, or other surface. The brass has developed an appealing aged finish, with darker coloration settling into the lettering and decorative border.
The title of captain has long been associated with maritime command, making this a fitting decorative detail for a nautical-inspired interior. Whether originally intended for a boat, private quarters, or simply as a novelty nameplate, its traditional lettering and ropework give it a wonderfully characterful appearance.
Perfect for a study, library, bar cabinet, or an unexpected spot around the home, this little plaque offers just enough humor and maritime charm without feeling overly decorative.
