A boxed set of six vintage silver-plated demitasse spoons, each with a slender stem, a shell-patterned bowl, and a turquoise-coloured coffee-bean finial. These colorful finials were typically crafted from early plastics popular during the Art Deco and Mid-Century eras, such as Bakelite, celluloid, or caseins.
Sized to accompany small coffee cups, the spoons bring a distinctive finishing touch to an after-dinner coffee service or a tray of collected porcelain. They are presented in a fitted blue case with a dark fabric bed and gathered cream lining, arranged head to tail to display both the decorative bowls and coloured finials. A charming complete set for use, display, or gifting. Includes six spoons and the fitted case shown.
Origin: Sheffield, England; 1930s-1950s.
Material: Electroplated nickel silver (EPNS).
Dimensions: 4" L
Condition: Good condition. Light signs of age and wear.
