Bouillotte Candelabrum with Black Shade

A brass five-light candelabrum designed in the manner of a French bouillotte lamp, with scrolling candle arms arranged around a fluted central standard beneath a broad black metal shade. The eagle finial adds a Federal or Empire Revival note, while the aged brass gives the piece the feel of an old library or study.

Designed for candles rather than electricity, the five candle cups create a particularly atmospheric centerpiece for a dining table, library table, console, or mantel. The contrast of dark metal and warm brass gives it a strong sculptural presence even when unlit.
