An elegant English silverplate covered bonbon dish by Israel Freeman & Son Ltd., dating to the late Victorian to early Edwardian period. Raised on a graceful pedestal foot, the dish is richly decorated with an embossed foliate border, scrolling handles, and an exceptional blooming pineapple finial rising from a cluster of finely detailed leaves. A longstanding symbol of hospitality and welcome, the pineapple motif makes this piece a particularly charming addition to any home.
Once the candle has burned, it is equally beautiful styled as a covered bonbon or candy dish, displayed on a coffee table or dining room sideboard, or repurposed to hold wrapped sweets, keepsakes, or other small treasures.
Origin: England.
Maker: Israel Freeman & Son Ltd.
Material: Silverplate.
Condition: Very good antique condition with light age-related wear and patina consistent with age and use.
