French Aubusson style tapestry after "La Collation" from the History of the Emperor of China series originally by Louis XIV Beauvais. Representing the Chinese Emperor at his table under a dais.

Tapestry measures 7 feet 8 inches by 6 feet 9 inches.

Late 19th century - early 20th century with featuring knotted back. Backing fabric has been added, as well as rod pockets (see photos).

Provenance: Tapestry believed to have been acquired from the estate of Portland interior designer Jerry Lamb. Lamb collected fine art, antiquities, and rare furnishings for decades before he died in 2021.
