Amber Acid-Etched Glass Apothecary Jar

Sale price$110.00

Sold as presented; to be candled by Salvage Bohemia.

Variant sizes approx. 68 oz pour / $2.30 oz

A beautiful antique amber glass apothecary jar featuring an all-over acid-etched scrolling arabesque pattern dating to the late Victorian or Edwardian period (circa 1890–1910). The warm honey-colored glass is richly decorated with frosted acid-etched ornament that catches the light beautifully, while the fitted lid and substantial cylindrical form give the piece a timeless presence. Elegant and highly decorative, it embodies the refined craftsmanship of turn-of-the-century decorative glass.

Once the candle has burned, it is equally beautiful styled on a bathroom vanity, bookshelf, or coffee table, or repurposed to hold cotton balls, bath salts, wrapped candies, matches, or other small household essentials.

Origin: Likely Bohemia.
Material: Amber acid-etched glass.
Condition: Light age-related wear consistent with age and use. Small flea bite on rim.
